The race against time to repair Edinburgh Airport's runway

Every year millions of people travel through Edinburgh Airport, all relying on the same strip of concrete and asphalt.

But as the runway nears the end of its life, avoiding delays and disruption caused by cracks becomes a daily challenge.

Over several weekends, construction teams have spent nights repairing the surface, racing against the clock before the first flights land in the morning.
