Images of two men sought in connection with the theft of antique coins from an Edinburgh museum have been released by police.
The coins were stolen on Wednesday 2 September from the National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street.
Police Scotland said the coins were of "great financial and historical value".
Officers said the men in the pictures may be able to help them with their inquiries.
Det Con Mark Seymour, of Police Scotland, said: "The stolen coins are of great financial and historical value, and any information which will assist the police inquiry would be greatly appreciated.
"I would encourage the males in the images to come forward to police.
"Similarly if anyone knows the males, or has any information to assist with the police investigation, I would urge them to contact police immediately."
