Trapped man seriously hurt in industrial accident in Broxburn

A man has been seriously injured after becoming trapped between a lorry and a container in an industrial accident in West Lothian.
The 24-year-old was freed before emergency services reached Dalton Metal Recycling at Youngs Road in East Mains industrial estate in Broxburn.
The incident happened just before 09:45.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in West Lothian were called to Youngs Road in Broxburn around 09:45 on Friday 28 July following a report that a man had been seriously injured after becoming trapped between an HGV and a container.
"The 23-year-old was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
"The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and inquiries are ongoing."
