Man found dead at Cellardyke harbour in Fife

The body was found at Cellardyke harbour on Boxing Day

A man has been found dead on a beach at a harbour in Fife.

Police said the body was discovered at Cellardyke harbour at 08:30 on Boxing Day. Emergency services attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers had initially appealed for assistance to identify the man, whose death was not being treated as suspicious.

But they said his family had now been informed, and thanked members of the public for their help.
