Man charged after woman hurt in Edinburgh hit-and-run crash

A man has been charged after a woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Edinburgh.
The 63-year-old was taken to the city's Royal Infirmary after the incident on Muirhouse Parkway at about 16:10 on Sunday, where she remains in a serious condition.
Police Scotland said the car left the scene before officers arrived. It was later traced after an appeal.
A 61-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing.
