Paterson and Ferguson are wanted over two fatal shootings

Two Scots being sought over unsolved murders - one involving Glasgow gangster Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll - are believed to be on the run in Spain.

Derek McGraw Ferguson and William Paterson, both from Glasgow, feature in a 10 most-wanted list released by the Serious Organised Crime Agency.

Police want to trace Paterson, 31, over the fatal shooting of Kevin Carroll in Glasgow in January 2010.

Ferguson, 47, is wanted over the fatal shooting of Thomas Cameron in 2007.

The 49-year-old barman was shot in the car park of the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.

Ferguson, who has used the alias of William Murdoch Henderson, is described as being about 5ft 2in tall, balding, with short brown/grey hair.

He has green/blue eyes, tattoos of a heart, arrow and dagger on his left arm and part of left ear is missing.

William Thomas Robert Paterson, who is known by the nicknames Buff and Billy, is described as about 6ft 1in tall, with red/ auburn hair and blue eyes.

He is wanted over the death of Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll, who was repeatedly shot in the car park of Asda supermarket in Glasgow's Robroyston area.

A third man on the crime agency list, 41-year-old Andrew Mark Spooner, from Leicester, is wanted after failing to appear at the High Court in Glasgow in September 2001.

He had been arrested in October 2000 in Edinburgh on drugs charges.

Spooner is described as about 6ft tall, with short straight brown hair and green eyes. He is said to speak with a Midlands accent.

The three men are being sought as part of Operation Captura which is being run by the Serious Organised Crime Agency in conjunction with the Crimestoppers charity.
