Goals Soccer Centres reports growth in sales and profits

Goals Soccer Centres has reported rising sales and a growth in underlying profits for 2014.

The firm, based in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, said sales were up 3% to £34.7m and underlying profits rose by 10% despite an investment programme.

The programme included a mobile app to allow its football pitches to be booked more easily online.

Goals runs 45 five-a-side UK football venues. It opened its first American centre in Los Angeles in 2010.

The firm plans to open another in the city later this year.
