Woman arrested after attempted murder of boy in Glasgow

Police were called to Stockwell Street in Glasgow on Friday night

A 41-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 16-year-old boy in Glasgow city centre.

The boy is in a serious condition in hospital after police were called to an incident on Stockwell Street, near the St Enoch Centre, at about 21:30 on Friday.

The woman is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Police Scotland said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
