Houston, Texas, helps Highland walker with a problem

An injured walker was airlifted from a remote area of the north west Highlands after his distress call was picked up in Houston, in Texas.
The man was believed to have been hurt crossing a stream near Culnacraig, south of Achiltibuie.
He was carrying a mobile phone-type personal locator beacon and his call was relayed to the International Rescue Service in the US.
Stornoway coastguard helicopter went to the walker's aid.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said the rescue service was able to tell them what his injuries were, his position and what he was wearing.
He was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
The man's injuries were not thought to be serious.
