Ardnamurchan residents to meet Nicola Sturgeon over medical cover

  • Published

Community leaders from west Ardnamurchan are to meet Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon to air their concerns over emergency medical cover.

Communities have been seeking assurances since last year about the future of out-of-hours provision.

GPs are to withdraw their services and a district nurse has retired.

NHS Highland and Scottish Ambulance Service have said another nurse and an experienced ambulance technician will help provide the cover.

However, worries persist in west Ardnamurchan.

The community leaders' meeting with Ms Sturgeon will take place in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
