Funds to be sought for new Inverness Royal Academy

Highland Council is to seek funding to pay for the construction of a new £33.3m secondary school.

The building would be a replacement for the city's ageing Inverness Royal Academy.

The local authority will make a bid for funds from the Scottish government's Scotland's Schools for the Future programme.

Highland Council's adult and children's services committee agreed to push ahead with the bid for money.
