- Published
Disney-Pixar's Brave is up against Frankenweenie and Paranorman for best animation at the Baftas.
The story about Merida, a headstrong Highland princess, features the voices of Kelly Macdonald and Billy Connolly.
The film's score includes songs sung by Highland-based Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis.
Pixar writers and artists visited the Highlands, Argyll and the Western Isles to research Brave's story and animation.
Scottish animators Will Anderson and Ainslie Henderson have been nominated in the short animation category for their film The Making of the Longbird.
Mr Anderson, from Inverness, won a Scottish Bafta last November and Mr Henderson, from Edinburgh, a Scottish Bafta New Talent Award for Animation last March.
The winners of the 2013 Bafta film awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London, hosted by Stephen Fry on 10 February.
