A virtual tour of the site of the new Inverness Campus has been made available on a website dedicated to the multimillion-pound project.

The short film, external has been created to help mark Doors Open Day, an annual event held to promote places of public interest across Scotland.

The "tour" focuses on the first phase of work at Beechwood and includes explanations on design and landscaping.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is leading the campus project.

The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), research companies and other businesses and organisations are expected to set up on the campus.

It will feature a £60m building for Inverness College, which forms part of the UHI network of colleges and institutions. A previous cost for the building was put at £75m.

Research businesses and organisations are also expected to set up on the campus.

Karen Thomson, of HIE, said: "Inverness Campus will soon be open to the community, providing parkland and landscape facilities as well as easy access to the city centre.

"We want to use the Highland Doors Open Days programme as an opportunity to spread the word about what people can expect from Inverness Campus now and in the long term."
