Monday's collision happened close to Causeymire Wind Farm

A 71-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Caithness.

The man was driving a silver Audi car when it was involved in a collision with a red Volvo FH lorry on the A9, at about 15:00 on Monday.

Police Scotland has appealed for information, external on the incident, which happened close to Causeymire Wind Farm, near Mybster.

Road policing officer Sgt Douglas Scott said inquiries into the collision were ongoing.

He added: "If you were in the area around this time and have dash-cam footage, please get in touch."
