Wood Group wins £100m California power station deal

Aberdeen-based energy services company Wood Group has won a £100m power station contract in California.
The company is to carry out extensive work to make the power plant, owned by GWF Energy in Tracy, more environmentally friendly.
The announcement came as the company issued a trading statement, saying its performance for the year would meet expectations.
It said its engineering business was likely to see its performance improve.
Several projects are due to get under way in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico and West Africa over the coming months.
