Acas called in over Aberdeen council increment dispute

  • Published

The dispute over pay increments at Aberdeen City Council has been referred to the conciliation service Acas after union negotiations collapsed.

The row centres on whether staff will receive extra money which was due to be paid to them as part of their contracts.

The council was hoping to save money by having the increments deferred.

A council spokesperson said it was "disappointing" and that it was hoped Acas could broker an agreement.
