Aberdeen City Council's new headquarters at the renovated Marischal College has opened to the public.

The granite landmark building has been extensively refurbished as part of a three-year £65m project.

Employees began moving into Marischal College last week, as the authority gradually transfers about 1,300 staff to the new site.

Members of the public now have their first chance to visit the HQ.

Council staff are moving into the former university building from various locations, including directly across the road at St Nicholas House.

Timelapsed footage, external shows the work on the college progressing from its outset in November 2009.
