Aberdeen schools to close on 30 November if strike held

  • Published

Aberdeen schools will close for pupils on 30 November if a planned nationwide industrial action proceeds, the city council has said.

Unions have called on a nationwide "day of action", which threatens to disrupt public services across the UK.

The local authority said the majority of teachers and support staff were expected to be involved.

Chancellor George Osborne has branded the strike plans "deeply irresponsible".
