Fisheries ministers holding crucial talks for Scotland in Luxembourg

  • Published

Fisheries ministers from across Europe are meeting in Luxembourg in a bid to agree on a common position on reforms to the Common Fisheries Policy.

The main proposals being discussed are attempts to end over-fishing by setting quotas that are sustainable, in an effort to end discarding unwanted fish.

Fisheries Minister Richard Lochhead said the talks were critical for Scotland.

He said changes for the better were "imperative".
