Temporary cafe approved for Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens

Plans for a cafe and seating area under the central arch of Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens have been approved.

Members of the development management sub-committee unanimously agreed the temporary timber cabin application.

Food and drink would be prepared off-site.

The temporary building will have to be removed from the site a year after planning permission is granted, and the site must be made good within a month of the building being removed.

Union Terrace Gardens is currently the focus of plans which would see it transformed under the City Garden Project.
