Stonehaven set for flooding action group

  • Published

An action group is to be set up by residents affected by the flooding which hit Stonehaven.

Dozens of homes were evacuated, and properties damaged, after the River Carron burst its banks in December.

A meeting of the town's community council on Tuesday night heard calls for a 180-day action plan to be agreed with Aberdeenshire Council aimed at preventing future flooding.

Some residents are considering legal action against the council.
