A £3m design contract has been awarded as plans to tackle one of Aberdeen's worst traffic problem areas took a step forward, Transport Scotland has said.
The Haudagain roundabout, at the bottom of Anderson Drive, is a notorious bottleneck.
The £3m design contract - announced last year - has now been awarded to Jacobs.
Transport Scotland said that survey work was expected to get under way next month.
