Two Aberdeen City Council by-elections following the election of councillors as MPs are being held.

Voters in Kincorth, Nigg and Cove are going to the polls to elect a replacement for Callum McCaig, who is now the SNP MP for Aberdeen South.

The other is being held in the Hilton, Woodside and Stockethill ward to replace Kirsty Blackman, the new SNP MP for Aberdeen North.

Polling stations will be open from 07:00 to 22:00.

A third by-election will be held on 1 October. It follows the decision by the SNP's George Street and harbour area councillor Andrew May to retire.
