AECC plan

Legal agreements for a new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre have been signed.

Planning permission for the new AECC - including a 200-bedroom hotel - was granted by the council's planning development management committee on 10 December.

The new AECC will be part of a £333m complex on the site of the Rowett Research Institute at Bucksburn.

Exhibition space will be quadrupled and seating capacity doubled.

The council and Henry Boot Ltd, which is behind the project, signed a number of agreements.
