Aberdeen councillor suspended from planning decisions for four months

A veteran Aberdeen councillor has been suspended from making planning decisions for four months for breaching the code of conduct.
Bill Cormie appeared before the Standards Commission.
He admitted publicly opposing an application before it was discussed by the licensing committee.
The SNP's Mr Cormie, who represents Midstocket and Rosemount, said he regretted his actions.
