Man in court after armed police incident in Port Elphinstone

A man has appeared in court after armed police were called out to an incident in Aberdeenshire.
Police were called to Port Elphinstone, Inverurie, on Wednesday afternoon and a man was later arrested and charged.
Alastair MacKinnon, 41, of Inverurie, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, charged with having an imitation firearm and threatening or abusive behaviour.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
