A man has appeared in court charged with rape and attempted murder.
Officers had been appealing for witnesses after an incident involving a woman at a property on Charleston Road North in the Cove area on Saturday evening.
Kyle Allan, 31, from Aberdeen, appeared at the city's sheriff court.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
