Aggreko says its profits will be better than expected

Power company, Aggreko, has lifted its full-year profit forecast after a further boost from major events.

The Glasgow firm rents generators to provide temporary power and cooling systems for events like the World Cup and the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The company said it now expected full-year pretax profits in 2010 would be about £300m.

Aggreko also said revenues rose 30% in the three months to the end of September.
