Oil services company Technip has won a £500m contract from BP for a major project west of Shetland.
The contract includes removing the existing subsea infrastructure and replacing it with new pipelines and other infrastructure required to re-develop the Schiehallion and Loyal fields.
It is estimated the work will see an additional 450 million barrels of oil produced by 2035.
Technip's largest ever contract will be managed from the company's Aberdeen office.
Headquartered in Paris, Technip employs 30,000 people in 48 countries.
