Industrial action at the Shetland Gas Plant has been called off after workers accepted a new pay offer.

More than 80 staff employed by Aker at the Total-operated site were due to strike next week in a row over holiday pay.

The result of a ballot by the Unite union showed the majority of members would take the deal. It includes a lump sum and an increase in wages.

The plant processes about 10% of the UK's gas supply.
