Queen of the South supporters dig deep to back club

  • Published

About 300 Queen of the South supporters turned out at a meeting to try to help the club cope with financial pressures.

The fans who gathered at Locharbriggs Community Centre on Friday came up with a range of ideas to generate funds.

They also raised more than £3,000 on the night to help the club meet the cost of a string of postponed home fixtures this season.

Organiser Ross Corbett said he was delighted with the response to the Save Our South campaign.

He said they would now collate the best ideas for fundraising and then present them to fans and the board of the Dumfries club.
