Fresh plans for £20m Robinsland development

Fresh plans for a controversial £20m housing development in West Linton have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.

Springfield Properties was refused permission for an earlier scheme at Robinsland last November.

The Elgin-based company's appeal against that decision was rejected by a Scottish government reporter.

But the firm has now submitted a fresh application which would increase the number of properties from 82 to 92.

The original application for the 4.3 hectare site sparked 36 objections and fell foul of the council's design standards.
