Disco legends Chic added to Wickerman Festival line-up

Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers, have been added to the line-up for this year's Wickerman Festival

Disco legends Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers, have been added to the line-up for the Wickerman Festival in south west Scotland this summer.

They join the likes of Amy Macdonald, KT Tunstall, The Enemy and Primal Scream for this year's event.

The 12th edition of the festival takes place at East Kirkcarswell Farm near Kirkcudbright on 26 and 27 July.

Chic will perform a mix of classic tracks including "Le Freak" and "Good Times" as well as new material.

Festival co-ordinator Helen Chalmers said: "Chic featuring Niles Rodgers are incredible live performers and who doesn't love a bit of disco?

"Add to that Admiral Fallow, Dreadzone, Greg Wilson, Waylayers, some familiar faces in Bass Camp, the acts already announced and those yet to come, the party this year is going to be tremendous."
