A date has been set for work to begin on a £450,000 project to repair an unstable quayside at Stranraer harbour.
Dumfries and Galloway has now appointed a contractor to carry out the work, which will get under way in May.
The west quay wall at Stranraer suffered a partial collapse last year which left it dangerously unstable.
Emergency work was carried out to shore up the structure, with thousands of tonnes of rock used to prevent any further movement.
The local authority later agreed a permanent repair programme for the quayside.
Following a tendering process, a contractor has now been appointed and will begin work on the site in May.
It has been estimated the project will cost £450,000 to complete.
The local authority said the cash would be drawn from its coastal infrastructure programme and under-spends from other projects.
