A one-way system has been introduced in Galashiels to allow for a work on a new station as part of the Borders to Edinburgh railway.

The move is to allow for "safe construction" at the Ladhope Vale site.

The temporary one-way system will be in place in the town until 5 December.

The Borders Railway project said it had been working closely with Scottish Borders Council to identify the "least disruptive system".

The rail link between Edinburgh and Tweedbank in the Borders is set to reopen next year.
