Part of Dumfries town centre was closed for more than four hours after a fire broke out in a clothes shop.
Police shut part of High Street as firefighters battled a blaze in Dorothy Perkins and Burton on Saturday afternoon.
Photographs posted on Police Scotland's social media feeds show the shop was badly damaged in the fire.
The alarm was raised at 16:43 and firefighters only left the scene shortly after 20:30.
Police Scotland said nobody was hurt in the incident and the cordon was lifted at about 21:00.
