Welsh Labour are celebrating success at the local elections - saying it is down to reconnecting with people.

They won control of 10 councils.

Elsewhere two were won by Independents and nine in no overall control. The poll in Anglesey will take place next year.

The Lib Dems and Conservatives fared badly in the cities while Plaid Cymru lost out in the valleys.
