Final preparations for Nato summit in Newport

Final preparations are taking place ahead of the Nato summit at Newport's Celtic Manor Resort.

The two-day event starts on Thursday with Barack Obama among the 60 world leaders attending along with 4,000 delegates.

Security at the venue has been tightened and a "ring of steel" fence covering 13.5km (eight miles) circles the area around the Celtic Manor.

Inside the cordon, workmen have been carrying out the finishing touches.
