Nato traffic disruption warning as Newport summit ends

Traffic disruption is expected around Cardiff and Newport during rush hour on Friday as the Nato summit draws to a close.
Police said the M4 may be affected as the summit wrapped up, but it will not be closed.
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place near Cardiff Airport to help manage the flow of traffic as world leaders leave.
Meanwhile security fences in Cardiff city centre are being taken down.
People are advised to use public transport where possible in a bid to avoid increased congestion on the roads.
Arriva Trains Wales, external said extra capacity and services between Cardiff and Newport would be running to help deal with increased demand.
The western approach to Cardiff Airport from Llantwit Major will be periodically closed on Friday, but access is still available via the Cardiff and Barry route.
Parking and waiting will be prohibited on Rhoose Road and on unnamed roads from Porthkerry Road to Porthkerry village in the Vale of Glamorgan to prevent traffic hold-ups.
An extra 100 staff have been on duty during the summit to run a temporary terminal built specifically to handle the Nato traffic, which has included many heads of government.
Cardiff disruption
Meanwhile, security fencing in Cardiff city centre around Cardiff Castle and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, which hosted working dinners on Thursday night, were being dismantled on Friday.
Cardiff council, external said contractors would work 24-hours a day to remove the barriers to allow traffic flow return to normal.
The following road closures will be in place while the work, which is expected to finish on Sunday, takes place:
North Road from Colum Road junction through to Kingsway
Kingsway
Duke Street
Boulevard de Nantes
Cowbridge Road East from Cathedral Road junction across Castle Street Bridge
Castle Street
Newport road closures
Road closures in Newport, external around the Celtic Manor Resort are expected to be lifted on Saturday at 07:00 BST. Until then, the following restrictions are in place
Catsash Road is closed from the junction on Belmont Hill on the B4236, to the junction with Roman Road
Bulmore Road is closed from the Bell public house in Caerleon to the junction with Abernant Road
All footpaths that cross the Celtic Manor Resort are closed
