Up to 200 people protested outside the Senedd in Cardiff on Wednesday over changes to services at Withybush General Hospital in Pembrokeshire.

Campaigners said Hywel Dda University Health Board had downgraded services at Haverfordwest to a "cottage hospital".

Special care baby unit and overnight paediatric care has been downgraded and maternity services changed.

Hywel Dda said improvements would be made if identified, but the reasons for moving services still existed.

The health board's chief operating officer Paul Hawkins said the board continued to "review and monitor cases" and that it was "providing safe care for our mothers, babies and children".

He added a monitoring report would be discussed at the public board meeting at the end of the month and it would continue to work with the Welsh Government on its review of the changes.
