Cancer specialist quits Withybush Hospital job over staffing issues

A former cancer specialist at Withybush Hospital in Harverfordwest claims she had to leave her job because of inadequate staffing and service changes.

Dr Anne Barnes retired from the Pembrokeshire hospital in 2014 but came out of retirement to give the health board time to replace her.

That never happened, however, and Dr Barnes now says she cannot do "half a job".

Hywel Dda Heatlh Board said it is fully committed to the provision of safe cancer care services at Withybush.
