C. diff deaths rate falls in Wales in 2014

The number of deaths related to hospital superbug Clostridium difficile (C. diff) has fallen in Wales, new figures show.
The infection was mentioned on 111 death certificates in 2014, external, 66 fewer and down from 177 in 2013.
Meanwhile, in 2014 there were 25 death certificates mentioning MRSA, external which can also be acquired in hospital.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the MRSA figures had fallen to a level last seen in 1994.
