Old Vicarage nursing home residents in fire rescue

Six people have been taken to hospital to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire at a nursing home.

The blaze broke out at the Old Vicarage, near Pandy Tudur in Conwy county, in the early hours of Thursday.

Fire service incident commander Mark Kassab said firefighters helped home staff evacuate all occupants.
