Man charged with attempted murder over Borth stabbing

The man was stabbed while walking his dogs near Borth Wild Animal Kingdom

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 71-year-old man was stabbed while out walking his dogs near a zoo in Ceredigion.

David Kenneth Fleet, 21, of Borth, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court also charged with possession of an offensive weapon on 12 March.

The attack happened near Borth Wild Animal Kingdom on 28 February.

Mr Fleet was remanded in custody to appear at Swansea Crown Court on 12 April.

The victim was airlifted to hospital after the attack and remains in a critical condition.
