Young paddleboarder rescued by RNLI lifeboat crew

A young paddleboarder has thanked an RNLI crew for pulling him to safety after being swept out to sea.

The teenager had to be flown to hospital for treatment following his ordeal off the Llŷn peninsula in Gwynedd.

The Abersoch RNLI inshore boat was able to rush to his aid after he managed to raise the alarm on a waterproof mobile phone.

After a night under observation in hospital, he returned to the lifeboat station to thank the volunteers for saving his life.
