A woman has been taken to hospital for precautionary checks after a blaze broke out in a bedroom.
The fire, at a house on Padeswood Road South in Buckley, Flintshire, occurred late on Wednesday evening.
North Wales Fire And Rescue Service said the fire was contained to one room, which was badly damaged by smoke.
It said it received the initial report just after 23:00 GMT, and the incident was declared over at 00:20.
