Wales football fan held at gunpoint by Armenian police - claim

A football fan has relived the moment he said he was held at gunpoint by Armenian police.

Gerwyn Williams, from Penygroes in Gwynedd, said he was arrested "for no reason at all" by police on Friday.

Mr Williams claimed he was detained for 12 hours without food or water.

His ordeal left him so afraid he flew home before Wales' European qualifier on Saturday night.

"They were really, really very intimidating," the 35-year-old said.

The Armenian Embassy has been asked for comment.
