Aberfan stabbing: Police say victim known to suspect

The victim of a stabbing in Aberfan was known to the suspect, police have said.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder hours after police were called to Moy Road, where a 29-year-old woman had been attacked.

Reading a statement, Ch Insp Rob Miles said the incident was a "targeted attack" and that the victim remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
