A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Anglesey.

The accident happened at about 17:36 GMT on Thursday on Minffordd Road, Caergeiliog, near junction four of the A55.

A man in his 30s was airlifted to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool after he was found by members of the public.

The BMW motorbike crashed on a bend from Llanfihangel-yn-Nhywyn towards a roundabout, said North Wales Police.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the S-registered blue motorcycle, with black panniers and top box, travelling along Minffordd Road at that time.
