Aberystwyth University's £45m student halls plan unveiled

The new halls will house 1,000 students

A £45m plan to build accommodation for 1,000 students has been unveiled by Aberystwyth University.

The new halls of residence will be near the university's Penglais campus and will include 100 studio flats for postgraduate students.

The building work is expected to be completed by September 2014.

The new site is expected to replace Pantycelyn halls which currently houses students who study in the Welsh language.
